Halter CNC Robotics’ LoadAssistant universal robot is now available in North America. The workpiece-loading robot can be connected to any CNC machine. According to the company, ease of setup and flexible configuration makes the robot suitable for production of quantities ranging from 25 to thousands of workpieces. Halter adds that the LoadAssistant can be set up in a matter of minutes and needs no extra units, cables or fences.
Using universal grid plates, the loading system can handle workpiece dimensions ranging from 10 to 230 mm. One grid plate can be used for a certain range of workpiece dimensions (for example, from 23 to 55 mm) and every grid plate is adjustable to 250 mm in height. The arm comes in maximum load capacities of 10, 20 or 35 kg.
The robot system is driven by the company’s SmartControl, which enables the use of a 15" touchscreen to quickly set up the loading program. Halter says that the simple interface enables users without any robot experience to use it.
