Delcam’s Vortex high speed machining strategies (as part of ASM) are included in the update. The Vortex area-clearance strategy is developed specifically to gain the maximum benefit from solid carbide tooling, particularly those designs that can cut deeper by using the full flute length as the cutting surface, the company says. It can be used for 2.5- and three-axis roughing, 3+2-axis area clearance and rest machining.
