Walter USA’s D4120 indexable insert drill from the P484 family is designed for wear-resistance and longer tool life. The drill’s polished flute surfaces facilitate chip removal, process reliability and close hole tolerance. A wiper cutting edge on the periphery insert, flutes designed for continuous chip evacuation and a coolant-through system (one per cutting edge) also contribute to these benefits.
Cutting costs are kept lower because of the inserts’ four cutting edges and the long tool life characteristics provided by Tiger Tec Silver grades, the company says. The product is suitable for ISO material groups: P, M, K, N and S in various industries.
