Rosler’s KS series of wet blast machines are designed to provide uniform media flow and improved finish control. Offering machine cabinet sizes ranging from 28" × 28" to 60" × 60", and a variety of sump and media capacities, the machines are said to enable flexible operation for a range of applications.
The system’s high-volume wet-blast process is a self-contained system that uses a slurry of abrasive media and water to clean, descale and degrease surfaces in a single operation. The slurry is directed through a high-volume, internally mounted pump to a blast gun where regulated air pressure adjusts the aggressiveness. The process is free of dust and chemicals, and its closed-loop configuration recirculates media and water, eliminating the need for a drain. The water is used as a buffer between metal and media to cushion shock and reduce downward force, which also eliminates the surface impregnation possible in traditional processes, the company says.
